Getting Started with Algoryn
Connect the Windows desktop Beta to your Interactive Brokers Paper account, then test a basic workflow before enabling automation.
Install on Windows
Install Algoryn on Windows 10/11 64-bit.
Open IBKR TWS / IB Gateway
Start the Interactive Brokers Paper Trading environment.
Log into Paper Trading
Confirm that the session is a Paper account.
Enable API access
Enable the supported API access settings in TWS or IB Gateway.
Configure the connection
Enter the supported API host and port settings in Algoryn without guessing values.
Connect
Connect Algoryn and review the broker connection status.
Confirm the Paper account
Check account and connection indicators before sending any order.
Load market data
Use your IBKR permissions and subscriptions to load available data.
Test a basic workflow
Review a watchlist, account state or manual Paper workflow before starting a strategy.
Do not log into a Live Trading session for this Beta. Market data availability depends on your Interactive Brokers permissions and subscriptions.
